Two Months!!!

My how our little buddy has grown!
Stats at 18 days old:
Height - 20 3/4"
Weight - 6lbs 12.4oz.
Stats at two months old:
Height - 22 1/4"
Weight - 11lbs 4oz.
He jumped from the 3rd percentile in weight to the 50th! The growth charts do not take his prematurity into account either. The pediatrician was very impressed and feels like he has definitely caught up to his peers. If you didn't know it, you wouldn't guess that he was born 4 weeks early. Yay, Jackson!!!

SPLASH!

We headed to Silver Beach last week with our friends. There is a huge splash pad, a carousel, a playground and a nice beach. We never made it to the beach, but did everything else.

Lots of pictures for the grandparents and family far away

Quack!

It was HOT!

Swimming

Our water bug trying out his new water wings. He did an awesome job "swimming" with them. Wish I would have bought them earlier this summer.

Another party!!!

Lucas had a blast at Evan's birthday party. He played on this bonzai water slide until it was dark and his lips were purple.

Dog days of summer...

Summer is my favorite season. I love the warm weather, flip flops, capris, swimming and summer down pours, they make the air smell so good. Unfortunately, this summer has been hot and we can't go out a lot because Jackson is so little. We have made it to play groups and a couple trips to the pool. Jackson just relaxes in the shade, but lately it has been too hot in the shade. The other day this is what our living room looked like because it was too hot to play outside...
Jackson asleep on the play mat, Lucas watching Dora and Pacey sprawled out on the floor.

...and the little one said 'roll over...!'

When Jackson was 3 weeks old I put him on his belly for tummy time, walked into the kitchen for a minute and when i came back he was on his back. I put him back on his belly and he did it again, 3 more times. He hadn't done it since, until a couple of nights ago so I grabbed my camera. He now rolls over every time i put him on his belly.

Kyle and Haleigh get married

Lucas was the ring bearer in Brian's cousin Kyle's wedding this weekend. He once again did a great job and had a lot of fun.

Catching a toad

After the wedding ceremony Lucas saw something hopping in the grass. Here is a photographic journey of his hunt.

Can you spot the toad?

Almost got 'em!

Gotcha!

PS-Could Lucas be more boy? A toad in one hand and a stick in the other. Love him!

The Wedding

Unfortunately, our camera battery died and I didn't get a picture of the bride and groom or of our family. Oops! Here are a few shots of our oldest.

The cutest couple around

Just bust a move!

The Rehearsal

Our good friends Arica and Jim were married on Friday. Lucas was the ring bearer and Brian was a groomsman. I didn't get a lot of pictures because it was a crazy couple of days. I had to make sure Lucas did what he needed to do while keeping Jackson happy and fed. Lucas did a great job and we will do it all again this Saturday at Brian's cousins wedding.

Daddy and Lucas - Handsome guys!

Jackson is one month!

On my official due date Jackson turned one month old. It has been a quick month! He is doing really well. He sleeps a lot but in the last week or so he has been awake more often. Usually 2-3 hours once in the morning and the evening. He eats well, about every 3 hours. At night he has slept as much as 4 1/2 hours at a time, but usually averages 3 1/2. He is very easy going so far and very quiet. He coos a little, but usually chooses to just look around and take things in. Lucas was the same way. I am excited to see more of his personality come out. He's very sweet.
