Mimi, Papa, Mama and Aunt T and Uncle Eric all pitched in and bought this bouncer for Lucas. Its actually a birthday present, but we just had to try it out! He has such a great time on it.

I found this poem today on someone elses blog. Brian was in Indy today so Lucas and I were on our own. We spent all morning playing together, reading books and sharing a pillow on the floor while watching TV. I thought about cleaning but decided against. There are still dishes in my sink and toys on the floor. I wouldn't change a thing.

I Took His Hand and Followed

My dishes went unwashed today,
I didn't make the bed,
I took his hand and followed
Where his eager footsteps led.
Oh yes, we went adventuring,
My little son and I...
Exploring all the great outdoors
Beneath the summer sky
We waded in a crystal stream,
We wandered through a wood...
My kitchen wasn't swept today
But life was gay and good.
We found a cool, sun-dappled glade
And now my small son knows
How Mother Bunny hides her nest,
Where jack-in-the-pulpit grows.
We watched a robin feed her young,
We climbed a sunlit hill...
Saw cloud-sheep scamper through the sky,
We plucked a daffodil.
That my house was neglected,
That I didn't brush the stairs,
In twenty years, no one on earth
Will know, or even care.
But that I've helped my little boy
To noble manhood grow,
In twenty years, the whole wide world
May look and see and know.

My Wiggle Worm

We have expanded Lucas' TV viewing. In addition to Sesame Street he now also enjoys Blue's Clues and much to Daddy's disappointment, Yo Gabba Gabba which he calls "abba." I think Daddy would prefer he enjoy ABBA instead. Who doesn't love a little "Fernando" & "Dancing Queen?" Thankfully, we have On Demand and can watch these new shows anytime with a simple touch of a button.
Here is a video of Lucas watching Yo Gabba Gabba. He has become very interactive with the show. If you listen really close you can hear him singing along.
